On 23rd December 2025, the National Securities Commission (CNV) proposed the comprehensive modification of the Preliminary Definitions of the CNV Regulations RG No. 1097.

The reform is framed within the guidelines for regulatory improvement and good practices of administrative simplification and is part of a broader agenda of regulatory abbreviation aimed at strengthening predictability, interpretative clarity and legal certainty for the various actors in the capital market.

The modifications introduced focus on incorporating a series of defined terms and expressions that will be used repeatedly in the text of the Regulations, with the goal of unifying concepts, reducing ambiguities, and facilitating their correct application by issuers, intermediaries, investors, and other regulated entities.

This regulatory update is harmoniously integrated with the other recent reforms promoted by the CNV, aimed at simplifying procedures, reducing administrative burdens, and strengthening regulatory efficiency, without affecting transparency standards or investor protection mechanisms.
