BRAZIL: B3 Announces Changes to the B3 Clearinghouse Risk Management Manual

Brasil Bolsa Balco S.A. (B3) publishes circular on a new version of the B3 Clearinghouse Risk Management Manual (Manual) which is effective from 17^th March 2023. 

The changes, to the Manual’s Chapter 5 – Position limits, regard procedures that B3 will adopt for regularization when the position limit for all positions in the forward and securities lending markets are reached or violated. 

Description of the Changes: Position limits 

Repositioning of the paragraph about total open positions in the market, placing it immediately before the content containing the procedures for regularization should the limit be reached or violated. 

Inclusion of the list of procedures that B3 will adopt if the open positions limit for total positions in the market are reached or violated.
