On 3rd September 2026, the Montreal Exchange (MX) approved amendments to MX’s rules to allow the listing of Mini S&P/TSX 60 Index Options and Daily Expiries. These amendments were self-certified in accordance with the self-certification process as established in the Derivatives Act (CQLR, Chapter I-14.01).

Two modifications were made to these amendments following the publication of June 29, 2026. First, Article 11.600 was modified to add the mention that the Underlying Interest represents one-tenth the value of the S&P/TSX 60 index. Second, paragraph (c) of Article 11.605 was removed as it will not apply to S&P/TSX 60 Mini Index options at this time.

The amendments establish the framework for the listing of Mini S&P/TSX 60 Index Options and Daily Expiries, including the applicable product specifications, trading rules, expiry cycles, settlement provisions and reporting requirements.

The amendments will become effective on September 8, 2026.
