On 18th August 2023, the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) has guided the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) and Beijing Stock Exchange (BSE) to further reduce securities trading fees from August 24th.
The Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchange has lowered the transaction fee for A-share and B-share securities from 8.28% of the transaction amount to 0.00487% of the transaction amount, a decrease of 0%; On the basis of the 00341% reduction in securities transaction fees in December 30, the BSE has again reduced the standard of securities transaction handling fees by 2022%, from 12.50% of the transaction amount bilaterally to 50.0% of the transaction amount bilaterally.
At the same time, securities companies will be guided to properly adjust the changes in customer contracts and related transaction parameters, reduce brokerage commission rates in accordance with the law and effectively transmit the policy effect of reducing securities transaction handling fees to the majority of investors.
