The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) announced that the Council of the Exchange has decided to amend the Regulatory Decisions regarding the Operation of the Central Securities Depository and Central Registry (RAA 354/2023), to ensure the following:
(a) That the CSE can also provide the Other Securities Transfers service in the case of transfer of securities pursuant to the law.
(b) That the provision of the Regulatory Decision that allows the keeping of shares in the name of a non-listed issuer also covers listed issuers.
The proposed amendment is also posted on the Stock Exchange website under “Legal Framework”, “Proposed Legislation”, under the heading: Proposed amendments to Regulatory Decisions regarding the Operation of the Central Securities Depository and Central Registry (RAA 354/2023).
