BaFin granted Clearstream Banking AG the licence to operate as a German Central Securities Depository, according to Article 16 Central Securities Depository Regulation (Regulation (EU) No 909/2014) – CSDR.
The licence authorises the company to provide core services and non-banking-type ancillary services under the CSDR.
Clearstream Banking AG is a subsidiary of Deutsche Börse AG and as post-trade services provider responsible for the settlement of securities transactions, custody and administration of domestic and foreign securities.
