MALAYSIA: Bursa Malaysia Launches Bursa Anywhere, ASEAN’s First Mobile Depository E-Services App

On 11^th June 2019, the Bursa Malaysia Berhad officially launched Bursa Anywhere, a new mobile APP that allows individual investors to access a wide range of central depository services anywhere, anytime.

Bursa Anywhere is a first-of-its-kind mobile depository services in ASEAN and second only in Asia, after Taiwan.

Now, investors on Bursa Malaysia who register on Bursa Anywhere can do the following on their smart devices:

• View the balance shareholdings in all their direct CDS accounts with marked to market value;

• Access and download statement of accounts for the past 12 months;

• Update specified depositors’ particulars; and

• Receive notifications in relation to their shareholdings such as announcement on entitlements.

The launch of the CDS eServices via Bursa Anywhere is Bursa Malaysia’s latest initiative that is easily accessible, convenient and efficient. It provides depositors a seamless and personalised experience when accessing their CDS account information or performing CDS account management.

This initiative is also in line with Bursa Malaysia’s aspiration to promote better sustainability practices through digitisation and further encourages the industry to embrace digital transformation.
