On 3rd June 2026, the Philippines Stock Exchange (PSE) proposed amendments to the Market Making Rules. The proposed rules aim to enhance market liquidity by introducing a general framework applied uniformly to all market-making activities on the Exchange, while adopting tailored operational frameworks for specific product categories such as Exchange-Traded Funds and Global Philippine Depositary Receipts.
The proposed rules also set out the accreditation criteria for Market Makers and quoting obligations such as maximum bid-ask spreads, minimum quote sizes, and required presence times during trading sessions.
