Moscow Exchange (MOEX) announced that it will resume morning trading sessions on the stock and futures markets on 27th January 2025. Trading on the stock market will be carried out 17 hours a day – from 6:50 to 23:50 Moscow time, on the futures market – 15 hours a day – from 8:50 to 23:50 Moscow time.

All instruments that are traded during the main session will be available on the urgent market in the morning hours.

Liquidity for instruments in the morning hours will be supported by market makers.

The morning trading session on the stock market will be held from 6:50 to 9:50 Moscow time:

In the main trading mode T+:

  • 6:50–7:00 – opening auction;
  • 7:00–9:50 – morning trading session;
  • from 9:50 – the main trading session for securities admitted to morning trading;
  • from 9:50 – opening auction for securities not admitted to morning trading
  • In RPS/RPS with CC trading modes:
  • 6:50–9:50 – morning trading session;
  • from 9:50 – main trading session.

The morning trading session on the futures market will be held from 8:50 to 10:00 Moscow time:

  • 8:50–9:00 – opening auction;
  • 9:00–10:00 – morning trading session;
  • from 10:00 – main trading session.

In connection with the launch of the morning session, the working hours of the over-the-counter stock market with a central counterparty (OTC with CC Stocks) will also be extended. It will be possible to place offers and conclude over-the-counter transactions with all instruments of this platform from 6:50 to 23:50.

With the launch of morning trading, the MOEX Index will be calculated from 7:00 to 23:50. During the main trading session, the MOEX Index will be calculated from 9:50 to 18:50 and published using the IMOEX ticker. Throughout the trading day, the MOEX Index will be published using the IMOEX2 ticker. The official closing value will still be the IMOEX Index value at 18:50.

The registration schedule for new clients participating in market trades remains unchanged: the online registration service for new clients via WEB API is available from 1:30, via EDI or in the personal account – from 9:00.
