On 24th February 2026, the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) and Securities Depository Centre (Edaa) announced the publishing of the Draft Amendments to the Exchange Rules for public consultation, which can be viewed through the following link:

These amendments aim to implement global best practices within the Securities Borrowing and Lending (SBL) and short selling frameworks, enhance the structure for the use of hedging instruments, and further enable investment tools for all market participants.
