On 4th August 2026, the Taipei Exchange (TPEx) has amended the Operation Directions for Announcement or Notice of Attention to Trading Information and Dispositions and the Detailed Numerical Standards and Exceptions to the Irregularity Standards in the Subparagraphs under Article 4, Paragraph 1 of the Taipei Exchange Directions for Announcement or Notice of Attention to Trading Information and Dispositions on the TPEx. The amendments will become effective on August 10, 2026.
The disposition period for securities will be reduced from 10 (or 12) business days to 5 (or 7) business days for both the first disposition and second disposition. During disposition, the trade matching interval for securities traded under the regular trading method will be shortened from approximately every 5 or 20 minutes to every 2 minutes. TPEx also announce a revision to the Irregularity Criteria under Article 4, paragraph 1, subparagraph 12, to be applicable only to securities prices over NT$1,000 and raise the threshold value of the closing price difference in 6 consecutive trading days, and widen the tier intervals for the fixed increment of the closing price difference calculation. Securities already under disposition whose disposition period extends beyond the implementation date will be subject to the revised rules for the remaining portion of their disposition period.
