The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that its opens for public consultation from the business sector and the public regarding the problems or obstacles that may arise from the Trust Act and related regulations.
To promote Trust as an efficient tool for fundraising and asset management and as a mechanism to further develop the Thailand capital market, the SEC will bring opinions to assess whether the Trust Act’s objective has been achieved and to consider amending any laws if needed.
The Act on Legislative Drafting and Evaluation of Law B.E. 2562 (2019) requires government agencies to assess the effectiveness of the law at least every 5 years during the period of enforcement of that law or in another recurring period as prescribed in the Ministerial Regulation or when there are other cases as specified in the Act.
