The Securities & Exchange Commission, Thailand (SEC) proposed draft regulations relating to Net Capital Requirement for securities and derivatives business operators. The revision is intended to support the use of subordinated facility as a tool for immediate increasing of transaction and the calculation of NC for digital asset business.

The SEC had a consideration on amendments of the rules relating to Net Capital Requirement (Net Capital – NC) for securities and derivatives business operators proposed in 2019 which covered the proposals on the calculation of subordinated facility to support the immediate increasing of transaction, as well as the calculation of digital asset business risk and the business suspension for the business operator who has NC below minimum requirements.
