On 20th June 2025, the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) confirmed its previous recommendations for an early market close at 2:00 p.m., EST, on Thursday, July 3 in the United States and a full market close on Friday, July 4 for the trading of U.S. dollar-denominated fixed income securities in the United States, United Kingdom and Japan in observance of the Independence Day Holiday.
This recommendation applies to trading of U.S. dollar-denominated government securities, mortgage- and asset-backed securities, over-the-counter investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds, municipal bonds and secondary money market trading in bankers’ acceptances, commercial paper and Yankee and Euro certificates of deposit.
