On 1st June 2026, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) announced the launch of enhancements to its electronic filing system for product self-certifications. Exchanges are now able to submit a single set of product certification documents applicable to multiple closely related contract certifications in one consolidated submission.
The CFTC anticipates that this update will greatly streamline the process of filing product self-certifications. Exchanges will no longer be obliged to submit multiple copies of identical product certification documents to the Commission’s electronic filing system. The CFTC’s action supports the administrative goal of “eliminating bureaucratic duplication and inefficiency,” as outlined in Executive Order 14243 dated March 20, 2025.
